Eden was incorporated in Australia in May 2004 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Tasman Resources NL. Since then, the Company has acquired an exciting portfolio of assets. Specifically, Eden has:
1. Acquired 100% ownership of Brehon Energy plc. Brehon holds and is developing a range of exciting hydrogen-related technologies. The Brehon technology involves various patents and patent applications, trademarks and know how related to:
(i) the production use and storage of Hythane®, a mixture of hydrogen and Natural Gas (both CNG and LNG) which reduces emissions of NOx and other Greenhouse gases by up to 50% compared with Natural Gas, which itself is a relatively clean fuel. NOx is a major contributor to photochemical smog in many cities around the world, including many major cities in China and India; and
(ii) cryogenic technology including manufacturing cryogenic valves and pipes and for the cryogenic storage of gas including both hydrogen and natural gas;
Brehon has subsequently been rationalised into two subsidiary companies: Hythane Company LLC and Eden Cryogenics LLC
2. Purchased 100% of HyRadix Inc. HyRadix provides proven, on-site hydrogen supply solutions. HyRadix's cost-competitive, reliable hydrogen generation systems provide on-site hydrogen solutions for industrial and consumer manufacturing processes and for transportation refuelling applications.
3. Applied for a 100% owned 7614km2 petroleum exploration licence over a large newly identified and largely untested anticline (100km by 10km) in South Australia approximately 60km north of BHPB’s giant Olympic Dam copper/gold/uranium mine;
4. Entered into three farm-in joint ventures with Coastal Oil and Gas Ltd and UK Methane Ltd in the UK to farm into:
(i) two petroleum exploration and development licences over 430km2 of the South Wales coalfields in respect of coal bed and coal mine methane to acquire a 50% interest;
(ii) a deeper oil/natural gas target which is located beneath these licences to acquire a 50% interest (increasing to 60% if Eden expends more than £1 million);
5. been granted eight 100% owned geothermal licence applications in South Australia;
and
6. entered into a research project with the University of Queensland (which received a prestigious Australian Research Council linkage grant for this project) in relation to the production of hydrogen by non-thermal plasma assisted catalytic pyrolysis of natural gas.
